Quest bug - Osgiliath - Lost but not forgotten

In "Lost but not forgotten" you need to travel to four different sections of Osgiliath, find a missing ranger in each area and do one or two side quests for each ranger. You also need to hand in the main quest to each ranger to progress that quest. After you have completed the side quests for each ranger, they disappear. Make sure you hand in the main quest to each ranger before handing in the side quests.

Bug: I handed in the side quest for one ranger (near the Houses of Healing) before handing in the main quest to that ranger. The ranger has disappeared and I cannot progress the main quest. I have cancelled "Lost but not forgotten" and started the quest again. The quest ring indicator for that ranger is visible on the mini-map but the ranger is not there to hand in the main quest to. I cannot complete this quest.

I realise I can contact a GM and have them force the quest to complete. I'm just putting a note up about this because I expect some other players may do what I did and hand in the side quest before handing in the main quest to one of the rangers, and be unable to progress and complete the main quest as a result.

Tol Fennas - The Corsair Croup is inhuman

I have some problems with the Quest Tol Fennas - The Corsair Croup.

'The corsairs from the south have a diet very different from ours. Their ailments are different as well. Some of the ones we have spotted have looked very sick, in a way that troubles me.

'The sick at Makham Hosh, the hunting camp, could do great harm. If they were to be eaten by the bears of the island, the disease could lie dormant, waiting to strike until we ate the bear next winter.

'Find the sick ones at the hunting camp, dispatch them, and then treat their bodies with this lacquer; it should prevent the disease from spreading to any animals or plants.'

I understand that as a 'soldier' I have to kill, and basically I have no problem with that.

But here the diseased corsairs are not even viewed as human beings any more. They are simply a pest that is to be eradicated and then their bodies are nothing but hazardous material.

Somehow, this quest is making me feel really bad.

Epic story date

Hi,
I was wondering at what point we currently find ourselves in the epic story ?
The city seems to be taken completely Osgiliath and so we would have to be at 11 March 3019 DZ , but that would probably mean that the wall of the Pelennor Fields were destroyed long ago .
Why it is not so , may well be because We have received no access to Minas Tirith . It would be great if any developers MadeOfLions could tackle this question .

Imbued legacy replacement scrolls through questing

Fellas, I am almost 100% sure I saw a quest in East Gondor that gave Imbued Legacy replacement scroll as a reward. Can't seem to find it now. Can someone point me to it or at least tell me he has done all quests and no such thing appears?

Tasks turnins in the new U16 areas

I recently turned in my last task pre-U16. I had been using my 10 daily task turn-ins to get 3k easy rep and a little LI exp. Just the other day I got Kindred with the last faction that I needed that accepted task turn-ins. But, now U16 is out so I am guessing that the new areas have new factions and new task items for new turn-ins? I had been relying on wiki but obviously it isn't updated yet, so I am asking here if anyone has useful information on:

1) which items are used for the turn-in
2) where it is best to (AoE) farm these new task items
3) where the turn-in location is
4) which faction the rep counts towards

another difficult road quest problem

I am trying to complete the epic quest Another Difficult Road. I am supposed to scout out 3 places in Harlond, and I found 2 placed and did the emote ok. I am looking for the spot near the gate of Rammas Echor, and I keep getting the message I am near the gate, but when I do the look emote nothing happens. There are a lot of mobs, and I keep getting drawn into battle, but there have been numerous times I am out of battle and do the emote after I get the message but nothing happens. It says I am peering in the distance.

Has anyone else had trouble with the part of the quest? Any suggestions? I am now stuck in Harlond, hiding near the gate until I can advance this quest. Any suggestions or input would be welcom.

Steed of the Ship Kings

Can someone please explain what use we have for the Steed of the Ship Kings, at this stage of the game? Nobody I knew had acquired it yet, so I went ahead and picked it up when I got kindred. It's a great looking horse, that will sit in my stable and never be ridden. There's nowhere in this stage of the game that I shouldn't be on a war steed, so riding this horse, except in a few city areas, will get me killed.

Why is there no caparison, leggings, saddle or head-piece associated with the Steed of the Ship Kings, especially considering the effort it takes to acquire it? Since horse combat has become such a huge part of this game, there should no longer EVER be achievement horses, reward horses, race based horses or horses associated with pretty much anything, that don't come with corresponding war steed appearances. This is such an obvious failure, I have to wonder if it wasn't intended as some kind of ploy, though for what reason, I cannot discern...

Central Gondor: Sons of the Usurper quest

What are the requirements for this quest/instance to come available?

And where does it show up under in the "Completed Quests" section?

When I initially quested through Central Gondor, I did not pay attention to every side quest. Now I am coming back to Central Gondor (reputation, trait points) and I am having a hard time to figure out whether or not I have done the above quest.

I have been told by a kinnnie that there is 1 skill point available to us via a quest in the culverts under Osgiliath? If so, what is the key to unlocking that quest? The total available to us should be 75, correct?

I have completed the entire zone, all the dailies at least once and finished the epic. I am also kindred with the rangers there. Any ideas would be great...

No Helm's Deep ; Where Do I Go?

It looks like I'm going to be getting out of Wildermore at level 89.

I have nowhere near enough TPs to buy Helm's Deep, nor do I plan on spending money for any or grinding deeds for them because I don't think even that would get me enough.

I was thinking at first, "I'll just go to West Rohan and do the quests there," but then I found out that you can't do landscape quests there unless you have the Helm's Deep expansion (which I think is unfair and think there should be a quest pack for that area because I doubt all of the landscape quests are tied to epic battles...but that's a whole other topic).

I've been reading some stuff on what to do without Helm's Deep. The general consensus seems to be Sword Hall and Warg Pens are a good way to go. Plus, I could still do some Hytbold stuff (I've done a little bit of that already and would rather not to do more but I would, if I have to).

Is there anything else really to do besides those things? Any other skirmishes that are highly recommended for their ease and help in covering those levels?

Also:

1. Will I die if I go into West Rohan just for fun? Will I still be under a ban after volume III book 10?

and

2. What level is it safe to start book 12? I know it's 95 and you can pick it up at 91. But how difficult is it? I'm a mini so I have the added bonus of kiting and a lot of heals. Any recommendations on when a mini can safely start it?

Rangers of Ithilien Rep

In Western Gondor, the quest line and some tasks seemed to be all it took to finish off DA rep (the extra faction reps, that was a different matter). Central Gondor was dozens of the Skirm Camp rep boosters to get done without burning myself out too much from the grind of those dailies. In Eastern Gondor, will I get enough rep from just the quests to get Kindred, or do I need to start popping more rep boosters? I'm midway through South Ithilien, and seems like I'm only just now about to get to Friend, so I suspect I'm going to fall pretty far short of the mark (I'm assuming there will be some sort of daily quest, even if it's just running the instances, but hoping to avoid another rep grind).

I cannot continue in this quest, it became locked

I picked up a quest in Combe, it is about this guy who needs me to find his dads treasure. I am at the "loggers ledger" part, but the quest is now locked with a gold lock & I cannot continue. What happened? I am not vip but I would not have been able to pick up the quest & do things if it was not free for all.

Osgiliath-Dome of Stars-Cannot get credit for completion or for the deed

I have completed Dome of the Stars, level 100, T1, four times, three times prior to getting the quest Ashes and Stars Chapter 4, which requires doing it , and one time after getting the quest. Each time it shows completion of the quest and grants medallions, but it 1) never gives the deed for completion of the quest, and 2) did not give credit for completion of the quest Ashes and Stars Ch.4.

Some members of the group were told that you have to exit the quest portal and not leave instance. We tried that. There is no quest portal once completing DoS that we could find. When you run back and arrive at the trolls near the beginning of the quest, you are ported back to the bridge in front of DoS.

We also submitted a bug report and a ticket. Members of the group waiting 1.5 hrs (at 11pm PDT/2p EDT) and after that, I stayed online four more hours.

I did not get a response to my ticket until 9:30am at which time it was dismissed because I was not online.

Anyone else having this issue? Anyone have a solution or is this a bug? I don't see anything else on it on the forums.

Stuck: (72) Proof of Treason (below may include spoilers for some players)

I finished (72) Man on the Inside and met Swithulf. He starts the Quest: Proof of Treason asking me to search hard for evidence. As I search the tower I was able to complete (72) Fragments of the World-Map, (72) Sniffing Out a Rat-Dead Rat, (72) Finding the Range-Flag. BUT (72) Something Blue-Blue Fabric Scrap I cannot find. I checked on WIKI and there appears to be the following:
"Bestowal dialogue: This blue scrap of cloth strikes you as odd. It does not seem to belong to a Rohirrim, by the look of it. Perhaps there is more to find that would indicate its source."
I do not get the bestowal dialogue about the blue scrap. WIKI tells me where to look and I looked in those places but there are no "sparkles" indicating where I can find the blue cloth. Of course I cannot move on in this thread until I find the scraps.
I do not know whether I missed something and the dialogue was not triggered but I cannot seem to find a way to undo the completed quests in order to find out what I missed.
If anyone has suggestions I'd appreciate them. Thanks.

I successfully completed Objective 1 (the Forsaken Road instance). A little video played at the end, and then I was dumped back into Zudrugund but the quest had vanished from my quest log. I know that Objective 2 comes from Halbarad in Lhanuch, but when I ran back to the town, he's not there :(

Anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions? I really wanna finish this quest chain!

I have created a guide to help landscape players navigate Osgiliath more efficiently. This guide is catered to players who:

A) Have reached Osgiliath
B) Have troubling getting around (either because they get lost or overwhelmed)
C) Want to clear the Daily Quests and Slayer Deeds as quickly as possible

Question aboiut "The Northern Front" quest in Tarlang's Crown

Hi,

I was wondering what prerequisite quests must be done to be given the quest "The Northern Front" in Tarlang's Crown. It looks like it is given by Harnion just below the south barricade but I have not seen the quest yet. I have been sent to Gondren and did the first of his quests. I have also talked with Melril but she has no quests for me yet. Thanks!

Hi can anyone help me. I'm currently lvl 89. Did all the quests in Edoras, Kingstead and Eastfold. In the epic line I'm just standing outside the deeping wall. However I cant open up quests in broadacres, because i cant find the westemnet scout. Where can I find him?

While adventuring in Middle-Earth...
I left Moria (Lothlorien side), and was snooping around the second Elf hub for the Beorning Legendary Items Vendor.
Can't remember the name of the place, it's the hub with the Skirmish Camp, before hitting Galadriel's town.

Did he get lost, or is he horsing around at the Turbine offices?
