Help with Stonedeans

Silly as it sounds, I took 3 characters through Rohan and onwards, up to 100, whilst completely forgetting about the 5 Rohan points. This meant going back and finding all the dropped quest lines months later and doing a lot of comparison with online quest lists and my Completed Quest log. I am finally sorting out the final character and I've gotten stuck. I'm pretty sure I've been stuck here before, actually, but I don't remember the fix.

Woodhurst. I arrived, Herubrand was silent (as I'd done quests from "Investigation of the Mead Hall" up to "Rampant Anger". "The Former Guards" was also complete.) but Thurferth the guard had "A Lack of Support" for me. Completing this led to a couple of minor 'talk to people' quests, completed, but now the quest line has dropped. Herubrand has nothing, Griefmun and Elda have nothing.

I can see that I have not completed "Griefmun the Mine Owner" nor "Offer of Protection".

Any clues?

(yes I've completed the epic, yes I've got trivial quest rings turned on, yes I tried relogging, and yes I managed to get through Stoke without Frithild breaking anything.)

To the Deep Descent

I have the quest and to go to the deep decent in Moria but I'm having trouble finding the path. The quest says "Take the south path from the Dolven-view and you will find yourself at the Deep Descent in no time -- it is really quite close". I can't find "the south path" though. Can someone describe where it is more specifically?

Let Them Hunger - Is this quest actually impossible, or am I missing something?

I've been attempting to complete the quest "Let Them Hunger" for a long while, and I just cannot figure it out. I've done the Warg-pens of Dol Guldur (Tier 1) three times now, and I can't figure out what "Maerwen's Task" is supposed to be. According to other pages/threads I've found, the Wargs in the instance are meant to eat the meat once they reach about 1/4 health, but they just... don't? I've tried completing Tier 2, but that's just plain impossible. The first Warg alone hits like a tank and cannot be killed (I have a full fellowship [3] for this instance, all of the same level as I, but it's not possible). What am I supposed to do?

Book 13, Ch. 9: Dawn Comes

I am told to find Aragorn and Théoden on the field outside the gates but when I exit the Helm's Deep gates the quest arrow on my map says the location is 30,443 m away and when I look at the map I do not see any indicator as to where it is. I also do not have the option to use Mithril to travel to the location. From the quest arrow they do not appear to be anywhere within Rohan. I am very confused.

How/where do I find Aragorn and Théoden to complete this part of the epic?

Epic Quest Line Problem

A friend and I have only recently started playing again after a few years absence. We are both 65. The problem that we have is that we have both finished Vol II Book IX (he hasn't done the epilogues), however I was able to pick then next Volume up from Pethelen in Rivendell but my friend cannot (he can't even see him). Can someone please give us a hint, clue or guidance as to what he's missed or needs to do in order to continue?

Barad Nemorn Quests (It's A Bit Tricky To Navigate)

Excuse me? I wonder if anyone can offer any useful help/advice please?

I recently reached Barad Nemorn on my main toon, (in South Ithilien) and started the quests there.
The first time I picked up these quests, I was warned in the quest log, (in red text) that while quests can be soloed, it's advisable to take a friend, as it is a bit of challenging area. Sure enough, I found that such is true when I went in, so I wanted to take my time so I could be as careful as I could, considering the number of monsters are all quite close together in there.

I understand that some players have said that Lotro is too easy, and they want the quests a bit more challenging, which I do feel Turbine has done, at least with Barad Nemorn. I think I can understand this, so I hope that I don't appear to be too complaining in any way here.

Okay, so... I found there are 5 quests for this area. As follows :

Morgul warriors
Troll Teeth
Warg Masters
Vile Leaders
Statues Of The Dark Lord

I went in solo, and though I haven't quite finished all the quests in there, there was only one time when I found another player in there, who at the time was killing some of the trolls. I think I must be the very last player here, trying to finish Barad Nemorn, so I feel it might be a bit tricky trying to find anyone to help me finish off.
*Sigh!*

Anyway.... of the 5 quests I have soloed, I was able to complete 3 of them : "Morgul Warriors," "Troll Teeth," and "Warg Masters."
I'm having a bit of trouble with the last 2 : "Vile Leaders" and "Statues Of The Dark Lord."

For the statues quest : "Destroy 10 statues of Sauron"
I have so far managed to find and destroy 6/10 statues. But I'm having a bit of trouble trying to locate the last 4.

Could anyone tell me please, if anyone remembers, are any of the statues in very tricky places at all?
By tricky, for me, I would say, if any of them are positioned inbetween 2 trolls, or such. That would be a bit tricky for me I think.
Having 10 statues, it does seem a bit tricky and time consuming too. I'm a bit surprised there are 10 to find, as I haven't as yet been able to find them all.
I think I'm trying to work out whether to cancel this quest for myself or not, it's not always easy for me to find help with quests.
Most of the time, I don't really need any help with quests considering the soloability, but right now it's just this one area that I'm now trying to work out for myself.

The last one :
Vile Leaders - Defeat Dagron

I haven't spotted him yet.
Could anyone please give me a hint on where he might be, and what kind of position he might be in with regards to soloing him?
Has anyone out there managed to solo all the quests in there at all? I'll bet the tank classes would at least.

Anyway, it might still be possible that I may find someone to help ingame if I have any trouble towards the end.

Esteldin quests revamp?

Greetings everyone. I have recently come back to LOTRO from a year and a half absence, just to try my hand again in a duo with my daughter. When the time came to arrive to Esteldin from the Lone Lands I was surprised to find almost none of the quests that I remembered were in Esteldin and Ostrikar. No Siegecraft, no birdmaster, no almost nothing... I remember walking into Esteldin or Ostrikar and seeing a constellation of rings over the heads of the people there but now its like the proverbial crickets at night.
I was also baffled by all the mobs with rings over the heads. I asked in the world chat and some people answered that a lot of quests are now auto-bestowed at killing mobs with rings over their heads. I actually killed some spiders with rings over their heads and... nothing happened. And gathered some flowers that were flashing to see if I was given a quest and... also nothing happened.
Frankly Im a little baffled and lost.
Can someone give some insight regarding these "missing quests" and "ringed mobs". I tried to look for earlier update notes but coudnt find any answers. Thanks all for your advice.

West Rohan quests without HD

Hi there!

I have bought the Rohan questpack. I finished Volume 2 and ended up in the cave with Nona. The next epic quests are part of the Helms deep expansion, I do not have them.

At lvl 83 I wanted now to do the quests in West Rohan to get to 91 so I could go on with the epic after helms deep.

But when I stand in West Rohan, in Kingstead, I do not get the message, that I should buy this area (since I bought it already) - But I have no quests either?!!

Is this really true, I cannot play the west-rohan quests, which I bought, without buying the helms deep expansion?

Edit:

Ok, I looked in the lotro explanations. What I had bought was the rohan expansion quests. They say they are until lvl 85. Ok. I would have been nice to mention, that these include only east rohan, and not west.

Is there anything I can do in west rohan without the helms deep pack, except for picnic and sight-seeing?

Volume III, Book 14 Last march of the Ents broken?

I tried Volume III Book 14 Interlude: Last march of the Ents twice on two different toons and each time I got stuck at the same place.

The second part of the session play you are supposed to pass through the gates of Isengard and defeat Saurman's forces. The problem is after I pass through the gates there are no forces and there is one of those invisible barriers that limits you to a small area. last time it happened I waited 10 minutes and when nothing happened I logged out of it.

Is this session play broken? Why can't I complete it?

Am I blocked by a pre-req for the Epic line ?

I have an alt that recently turned level 100. I have done almost zero questing with him as I leveled him almost exclusively via skirmishes and instances. With the 'new' content in E.Gondor containing some pretty sweet rewards (Star-Lit and Remembrance Crystals), I would like to do this with him.

On my main, I had previously done everything in the epic quest line so when U16 came out, it was very easy to pick up and finish ... but with this alt, I am clueless as to what I need to do or where I need to go. My alt has epic 4.1 lead in to W.Gondor in his log (http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Cate..._Book_1_Quests) but that is a lot of back content that I am honestly not too keen on doing unless I 'have to'.

Epic 4.3.1 is where I believe the 'new' content starts but according to http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Ques...ed_for_Secrecy, I went to the area where the NPC is supposed to be - but he is not there.

Any help appreciated ><

DA "Bank" quest bug

Both yesterday and today, I experienced the following bug while doing the DA Bank Training Dailies....

One of the (7) quests is to defeat 8/8 bands of corsairs and then the boss guy inside the vault area.

Upon getting to 7/8 bands defeated, if I enter the bank and round up everyone inside for one big AoE, rather than increment to 8/8 and competing the quest, it "skips" to 9/8 or 10/8 or even 11/8 and does not complete nor does it award the "Bank Box" or the "Gold token".

I experienced this yeterday on an alt. account - I took a screen shot before exiting the instance and I submitted a ticket in-game. I have not received an email confirmation.

Today, this same bug occured outside the vault as I defeated additional corsairs before entering the vault. This happened on my main account. I took a screen shot and submitted a ticket in-game. I have not received an email confirmation.

Yes, I have lotro authorized to send me emails. No, it is not in my spam folders. I have gotten many other communication from turbine - including other confirmation emails ... but none from the last two days - nor has anyone contacted me. I am VIP (on all my accounts) so the wait time is generally not substantial.

Class Trait Points - Where did you get them?

Is there any way in the Deed Log or the Quest Log to track down where you got a Trait Point?

Like the Legendary Books and Pages deed that grant Points : how can I see that I have done it?

Trying to check by buying the book only says something like "You can not use that", but would that imply that the deed is done and Point awarded?

Hytbold - lets review how it works?

https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Hytbold

So, basically, as I understand it;

You
- go to Hytbold
- get "Aid the Eastement" daily
- choose where to do the quests (Harwick, Cliving, Eaworth or Snowbourn) and travel there
- do the five quests (which will grant you Rep for the faction in question, and Tokens of Hytbold)
- go back to Hytbold
- deliver the quest

This is as far as I have gotten. What I have not been able to do yet is to barter the Hytbold Tokens for more buildings and furniture.
Example, I try to do The MeadHall: Outdoor Enhancements 1 but I am not able to talk to Edgal nor to trade any Tokens for "enhancements". Edgal remains passive.

What is going on? Common mistakes?

Unable to complete Volume III Book 10 Ch. 12 instance

Hello,

Is there any known problem with epic quest instance Vol. III Book 10 Ch. 12 in Wildermore? I've tried it twice now and gotten almost to the end of the instance when Nona is found to be safe, but right after she says "...but I am sorry I worried you" (end of Objective 16 according to lotro-wiki) nothing else happens. I've tried both ending the instance and logging out and back in but in both cases I am shown to be defeated and sent to the rez circle.

If this has been documented and/or reported elsewhere, let me know - I'll go ahead and /bug this. Thanks in advance!

Cliving: Attempted Murder of the Reeve Quest Chain

Not sure if this has already been discussed on here, but felt it needed to be addressed.

One thing about this quest chain that has bugged me for so long is: Why is there no option to blame Malbéort for the attempted murder of Reeve Athelward? Each of the quests point toward a living suspect for the attempted murder of the Reeve and for the murder of the apothecary Malbéort.

The guard Walnoth makes the assumption that one of the three living suspects (Eldora, Swithorne or Wigfugol) attempted to poison the Reeve and then cover up their involvement by killing Malbéort who would have had knowledge of who had seen him last before the incident. The problem is, all three have either solid alibis or a reason not to kill the Reeve, or both. Because of that, we, as the player, are forced to just "pick one" of the suspects at random to answer for the crime regardless of whether or not they are guilty... but he never gives us the option for Malbéort to be the one.

- He had access to the kitchen because Eldora had gone to see him many times for medicine for the wounded guard in her care. Makes sense he could have gone to see Eldora in the kitchen and slipped the poison then. He was also trusted by the Reeve.

- He had access to Swithorne's dagger because Swithorne had gone to see him.

- And let's face it... Wigfugol just makes an easy option by going to see him at the wrong time for his problems and along with his possible past grudges with the Reeve.

They should add the fourth option to the list of final quests in that chain: None of the three. It takes more imagination to think that one of the three people attempted to kill the Reeve and killed Malbéort than it does to imagine that Malbéort attempted to assassinate the Reeve by poison in his food and committed suicide by use of Swithorne's dagger when he found that his poison had been discovered.

/rant over ^_^ - Back to questing!

Many Rohan quests involve a treacherous rohirrim that is to be discovered and killed. End of quest. Why? Is "treason" a particularly interesting topic among the developers or what?

Warding the Dead-where are these ancient structures?

I made ally with Ringlo Vale the other day and was happy to get another rep quest. But I've gone to the rings where the quest tracker says you need to ward the structures and can't find any ancient structures or any dead, just rocks. I've searched the area and clicked on rocks. Nothing. What exactly do you do in this quest?

The big clutch of dead up in the northwest is self explanatory, but these other three baffle me.

Bindbole Kid

Greets -

So, I'm running through Bindbole Wood, enroute to the spider enclave. Since I'm completing the deed "Heightened Senses" (I'm running a lvl 17 Hunter), I naturally stopped (at 27.6S 71.1W in the Shire) and activated the "Passage of Nature" skill. I see a Bindbole Kid on the list and decide to track it. The name was purple and classified as a signature critter. I run up to where the radar indicated it was, but I could not see it and it did not attack me. So, I tried clicking a general attack skill, but it was not selected. I laid down a Tripwire and set a Trap hoping to make it angry. When it walked into these, they were activated and caused it to attack me. I got one hit in, then ran for my life. Below is a screeny of the combat log.

I've searched for this critter here in the forum and on the lotro-wiki and googled it, but it is not, apparently, listed anywhere. What is this thing? Is it tied to a specific quest line? Why does it have these odd characteristics?

Stock to Budgeford route - I cannot cross the water

I hated the quick post quests on my first toon, but now I find them quite enjoyable with another hobbit character. I have problems only with reaching Budgeford - when I have to cross the last ford, just before the entrance to the village, as soon as I enter the water, the character starts to swim and loses the packet, thus failing the quest. I have tried jumping, but it is too far. Is there some other way to reach Budgeford? some other crossing? or perhaps a bridge which I missed?

DA Dailies change. Why?

I just started doing the DA dailies again after a couple of weeks absence and I have noticed two things.

1. I can now get 7 golds per day instead of 3 (yay)

2. Doing the various faction quests now only yields tokens from that faction instead of a random assortment (Why?! How is a solo player supposed to get bank tokens without buying them on the AH?!)
